Before I begin, I would like to explain to you what a pull factor is. A pull factor is an aspect of a city/town that attracts people and "pulls" them to the city.
The first pull factor I would like to discuss with you is transportation. Shanghai's enxtensive amount of railways, buses, and taxis creates a perfect environment for people wishing to get from one place to another. On the other hand, the amount of cars, trucks, taxis and other vehicles on Shanghai's roads contributes wholly to the massive levels of traffic clogging Shanghai's streets, along with contributing to the already unfavavourable levels of smog and air pollution in the city (read more on push factors). To the left, I have included a map of Shanghai's metro system, proving how extenive and broad it is.

The second pull factor I would like to discuss with you is shanghai's diverse activities. from music to art to fine dining, Shanghai has it all. Tak a walk down Nanjing Pedestrian Street, visit the Bund and observe the beauty of the location, dine at high class restauants or grab a bite to eat of delicious street food. Another example is the annual flower festival put on by the Shanghai government to show the variety of beautiful flowers that make up part of the city's environment.
The third and final pull factor I would like to discuss with you is education. Shanghai has many international schools, each being unique, but (thanks to a sizeable tuition) many of them have high tech science, sports and technology facilities. Aditionally, the curriculum itself is at the same level as other private schools. Just one example is concordia international school, which has over 14 sports teams and five orchestras.
